Urban Sprouts is a full service plant shop built around your success
Urban Sprouts first opened in 2015 in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, a small shop run solo by our owner, Jen. The original storefront focused on teaching people to use small urban spaces to bring the benefits of greenery and local food production into our day to day lives. Now the site of the Nordic Heritage Museum, Urban Sprouts re-opened in September 2016 in our current location in the heart of historic downtown Renton.
Since operating in Renton, our 2,000 square foot space and the offerings within have grown and changed with the world around us. Through it all we've kept a keen focus on providing tools, services and products that help make the benefits of plant ownership accessible to anyone regardless of environment or skill level.
Today we offer a huge variety plants and gifts as well as fun and engaging hands on workshops, walk in activity spaces, a full service houseplant clinic, and loads of in person and online resources for anyone who wants plants in their lives.

Our Store
Our store is thoughtfully maintained to feel warm and inviting. A space for all to freely explore, inquire and enjoy being immersed in the greenery. Our staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always eager to help with a project or a plant in need.
We're here for you daily 10-6 and always stocked with common and unique plants, planters, and the very best of our tried and true plant care tools and accessories. We also proudly offer a range of gifts supporting small businesses and individual artisans including soaps, jewelry, art and more. There is always something new to see!
We are an inclusive community where all are free to be themselves. Everyone is welcome here. We are wheelchair accessible and pet friendly. (We do ask that our animal guests are leashed and friendly towards humans and other animals).
The Clinic
From diagnosing discoloration, to repotting, mounting, and pest treatment our houseplant clinic is here to take the mystery out of navigating your plants' health.
Every plant checked into our clinic is examined buy one of our highly trained clinicians and then given the very best treatments and services to tend to your needs and theirs. We offer both drop off and pickup services so getting your plants the care they need is accessible for everyone.
Activities & Classes
Weather you're treating yourself, seeking a new skill, or executing a plant project, we provide the space, supplies, inspiration, and guidance to create something truly special.
Gather or pick up a bouquet from our flower bar, always stocked with fresh and preserved blooms. Available anytime during our regular business hours.
The terrarium bar is here for one on one and group activities. We offer drop-ins, appointments, and scheduled workshops for both public and private groups!
