This fun flirty tillandsia species form El Salvador, Nicaragua and Honduras reminds us of little dancers! Their leaves are soft and silvery (they can also be colors like pink). The newest leaves stick straight up but after just a few layers point downwards resembling a skirt! These plants like a very humid environment but do need air circulation to avoid rot. Mist to coat the leaves 2 – 3 times a week or soak about once a week and apply a liquid air plant fertilizer to the leaves about once a month. Keep in a warm area with indirect sunlight. Try housing your Filifolia in your bathroom, maybe on a cute tray next to the soap dish or a fun terrarium in the window!
