Tillandsia Brachcaulos originate from Mexico and South America. Their long, green, triangular leaves they almost look like the top of a pineapple! They can enjoy more light than some of the other Tillandsia, but are not drought tolerant. When they are getting ready to bloom, the leaves will blush a vibrant red color, and they produce beautiful purplish flowers. Place this tillandsia in spot with bright indirect light. Water by misting 1 – 2 times per week or soak weekly for 10 – 20 minutes. Be sure to get any water stuck between the leaves out after soaking to avoid rot. Fertilize with an air plant fertilizer spray monthly. Try housing your air plant among your favorite crystals or in a himmeli!
