Birds Nest Fern Kokedama

Birds Nest Fern Kokedama

$65.00

Kokedama (translating to “moss ball”) are a Japanese style planter traditionally hung from the rafters in Japanese homes by strings or placed on a plate or bowl for a tabletop display. These beautiful Bird’s Nest Fern (Asplenium nidus) have a fully intact root ball and will remain small and living happily inside the sphere for years with proper care! Simply soak the ball whenever the root ball becomes dry (will feel light, usually every 1 – 2 times per weeks depending on your environment) for about 10 – 20 minutes. For long term care add some all purpose fertilizer to the water about once a month and house in a cool location with indirect light, the outermost layer of twine may be re-wrapped occasionally to keep it looking fresh! The sphere can also be planted directly into soil if you ever wish to change things up! Each kokedama is hand wrapped in store!
